About Squirrel Lodge

Squirrel Lodge is a spacious mid-terrace holiday home in the heart of Keswick, perfect for large groups of up to 12 people. This impressive property offers six bedrooms with five en-suites and sits just moments from the town centre. The layout is ideal for family gatherings or friend reunions with multiple social spaces including a tastefully-presented sitting room and first-floor snug.

Located in the Lake District National Park, the property puts you right in the middle of Cumbria's stunning countryside. Keswick itself is a lively town with shops, restaurants and pubs all within walking distance.

The accommodation is spread across three floors. First floor features two bedrooms - one double and one king-size, both with en-suite shower rooms. Second floor has two more bedrooms - a twin and a super-king (convertible to twins) with en-suites. Third floor contains a king-size bedroom and a small twin room plus a family bathroom. Downstairs you'll find a well-equipped kitchen, dining area with large table, utility room and cloakroom.

Great property for family get together. Plenty of space, bathrooms! Enough cutlery, plates, bowls and glasses for all. It was great to have the flexibility regarding bedrooms with some being zip & link. Near Centre of town, river, great location for local park and dog walks. Would recommend a stay in this comfortable house.

Thank you very much for a lovely stay. The property was chic, spacious and welldesigned. It felt like a homeawayfromhome to celebrate our wedding ceremony with family. Ideally located close to central Keswick, with enough parking available for us. Glad to have a small, secure yard outside for our dog. Everything was very clean, comfortable and in good working order. The kitchen was wellstocked and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend Squirrel Lodge for a large group getaway to Keswick.
Squirrel Lodge was the perfect house for our family. All the rooms were a good size and it was well equipped with everything we needed. On arrival it was lovely and clean and the information booklet was very informative. The location is perfect for all amenities but still very quiet. We would highly recommend Squirrel Lodge.

We regularly visit Keswick and the location of this accommodation was spot on. Perfect for a family visit of 11 people. The accommodation was clean, well equipped and the communication from the owner was excellent too. Would highly recommend.

A lovely stay at Squirrel Lodge for a family gathering. Very convenient for the town centre, Fitz park and an ideal base to start walks from. Convenient having allocated parking as well as on street spaces. The property was nice and warm at all times and had everything we needed. Overall we all enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay again.

House is comfortable and sleeps 12, but the lounge is nowhere near big enough for 12 adults and there are not enough seats. Kitchen is not big enough to reasonably cook a meal for 12 people.

Great family holiday home set so close to the centre of Keswick. The house itself has everything needed for a family holiday. We cooked some lovely meals in the kitchen which had more than enough pans and cutlery to support the family. The furnishings are top quality, and the beds comfortable. Having 2 designated parking places in Keswick meaning both cars were not on the road is a huge bonus. I was kept up to date via email from the owner, and her attention to detail is to be admired. We are already looking to book again.
A clean, spacious, well maintained and well equipped property on the edge of the town which suited our walking group perfectly for excellent walks and socialising in the evening.
We had 6 adults, 3 boys, an infant and a dog that had never been away from home before. The property was perfect for us and also coped with a few visitors for a meal to celebrate a final Wainwright. The two dedicated parking spaces were a great help over the Easter weekend which meant we only had to find one elusive parking spot in the street. Despite two fractures in the course of our walking and some less than wonderful weather, we had a great time.

Stayed here for a week, mixed age group, great base for walking and shopping. All rooms were clean and comfortable. The large dining table allowed us to eat and chat and then play cards all together. The kitchen was a good size and was well equipped, loved the two fridges and made use of the washing machine and dryer. Reported issues with the bathroom radiators and they were dealt with by the host. Only concern prior to arrriving was the road parking , but this proved to not be a problem as we all got parked right outside. Looking to book again as its a great base.
Had a lovely break in this property. Close to all Keswick has to offer. The kitchen quite small for a party of twelve if youre planning on cooking. Maybe larger pans would help.overall good value for money and a good place for get together with friends and family.

We found the property ideal for a family birthday celebration with my twin sister. Plenty of room for four couples & a small child. It was warm, comfortable beds, & all the rooms looked newly decorated. Kitchen though slightly on the small side was well equipped & great to have the large fridge freezer. Only criticism is we found it a bit squashed for seating in the lounge but we all want to return in the not too distant future. Thank you for making our birthday celebrations one to remember. Beautiful house in an ideal location for Keswick. Very spacious and ideal for a large family group with 6 bedrooms and lots of bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped and extra utility room perfect. Each bedroom was very cosy and the beds super comfy! Lovely extra from the owner as tea coffee and kitchen provided and bottle of prosecco and chocolates a nice surprise to help us celebrate New Year. Location fantastic as just a short walk into the centre of Keswick which we love and visit often.
We are a walking groupof varying sizewho come to the lakes NovDecJanFebMar and have been visiting for the last 25 years. .The house appeared to be ideal for us. However although I appreciate it was a bitterly cold weekend not that unusual and I am aware that energy is expensive but when you pay over 1200 for the weekend I don't think it unreasonable to come back to awarm house. It proved impossible to get the downstairs warm. This was not appreciated after a day on the hills. What a shame. Its a nice house. We certainly won't be booking again in the winter and couldn't recommend for anyone else. The heating system and the controls simply not up to the task. If you were looking to cook the kitchen was a bit short of available dishes and stuff somewhat less than ideal.
Lovely big house for a large group of people. We were a mixed group of runners who came up to do some walking in the area. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need to cater for a large group. The furnishings were lovely. The bedrooms were all beautiful and there seemed to be an abundance of bathrooms in the property so there was never a queue. Its an easy walk into the town centre and to the shoreline. Would definitely recommend.

Great size property. Few issues which to be fair were dealt with swiftly by management. The house does need some upkeeping photos appear to be old and the house needs TLC. Dining room was a great size kitchen is a bit on the small size for a group of 12.
