Melbreak House 1 Reviews

Kenneth
Good value for a large house. Everything that we needed. Showers not great, low hot water pressure and difficult to keep an even temperature. Gave up using the one in the 2nd floor double room.
We were disappointed to find no toilet rolls, washing up liquid, basic items required. Also the water pressure in the showers is not up to standard for an expensive stay. Parking is a nightmare.

A very nice property with a couple of quirks and issues the house is quite busy with 8 adults the kitchen layout is difficult to use if there are several people in the room dishwasher tablets were provided but not washing up liquid or hand soap prior indication of the shared with Melbreak House 2 outside area would have been helpful stairs can be quite slippy we had 2 minor falls during our week

The property is for 8, however the smaller 1st floor bedroom does not have any clothes hanging space due to the double bed the wardrobe is outside the room down 4 steps on the midlanding? As with all properties the accommodation is nonsmoking. It should be noted that the rear outside area is covered over and shared with the adjoining property. During our stay the area was used 'by others' for outside smoking? No smoking sign would clarify the legal status. The split kitchendining area is not an easy to use layout. The table although a good size, has restrictive chair seating access. The front hallway has a mobile entrance mat that rides up and is a trip hazard. It should be noted that the instructions in accommodation book say the bed linen is to be turned back and not stripped as per the email read on our return. That all done with, the TV was great, the water pressure was good, plenty of cutlery, cups, plates etc.. The location was good for the town shops, park and Latrigg Fell not far away.
This holiday home is perfect ,for cooking in ,or close to all pubs restaurants to eat out ,very clean and cozy ,space on the front to have a brew or a beer after a long walk ,we've stayed in Keswick many times but this place is the best showers easy to use , everything in the kitchen to cook with great the Woody's.
