Far Wescoe, Keswick

Far Wescoe is a spacious country lodge in Threlkeld, near Keswick in the Lake District. This former home of poet W H Auden sleeps 8 people across 4 bedrooms, making it perfect for family gatherings or friend reunions. With multiple living spaces including a snug, lounge and conservatory, everyone can find their own spot to relax while still having plenty of room to come together.

The location is ideal for group activities. Keswick is just 5 miles away (15-minute drive) with its Theatre by the Lake and independent shops. Walking enthusiasts can tackle Blencathra from the doorstep (3.5-hour round trip). Outdoor adventures include Go Ape in Whinlatter Forest (20 minutes), sailing on Derwentwater (15 minutes) and the Alpaca Centre (25 minutes).
