We were very happy with the house! We were very pleased with how well the kitchen was outfitted and found all the rooms comfortable and nice to have games to enjoy. The walking access to Keswick Centre and Derwent Water was excellent. We would definitely recommend The White House to our friends. Couple suggestionsthere were directions for the dryer but not the washing machine. The posting on the wall said there was. We didnt find the spare keys until the second day. A note should be left for where to look for them.

Very well equipped, spacious and comfortable property. Ideally situated for both town centre and lake. Suitable for the three generations of our family. Would definitely stay again if the occasion arose.

Our stay at Whitehouse was excellent for a group of 5 for a week four bedrooms and bathrooms, a wellequipped kitchen and plenty of space to relax, eat and talk. Whitehouse is well located in a quiet street 10 minutes walk from Derwent Water and 5 minutes walk from the centre of Keswick, with private parking for two vehicles outside the kitchen at the back of the house altogether a great place to stay for a family or group whether working, walking or siteseeing. The only reservation was the lack of eggcups in an otherwise well provided kitchen including scales, saladspinner and plenty of mugs. Are boiled eggs no longer a thing?

We loved staying at this house as it was on a quiet road but only a short walk from the shops, pubs and the lake. The house itself was spacious and very well equipped. We all agreed that we could easily live there! We also liked how we could do some walks straight from the house, such as to Latrigg and Castlehead woods up to Greta wood and back round Friars Crag. Off road parking is rare so this was a bonus but it was a little challenging to park our Toyota hilux as it so long plus one other car. It was possible with lots of reversing and manoeuvring! A fantastic place to stay that we would recommend and we would stay here again. Thank you.

Absolutely gorgeous home . It had everything you needed and more . There were 7 of us friends who meet up every year and we all said that we would revisit . Even though the weather wasn't too grand we still enjoyed going into the town which was a 5 minute walk and visited the local pubs and shops . Will definitely recommend to family and friends

We had an excellent week at the White House. We were luck with the weather but even more fortunate with our choice of accommodation. The house was impressively spaciousperfect for the five of us, and easily roomy enough for a larger group too. Everything was immaculate and clearly maintained with great care, which made us feel right at home. The location was another highlighttucked away just a short stroll from the heart of Keswick, with its charming shops, cafes, and easy access to the stunning Derwentwater. A perfect base for both relaxing and exploring!

Everything was as we wanted it to be. The cottage was clean, well furnished and well kitted out. There was an issue with the sliding doors in the lounge but we left a note to that effect, and I'm sure the issue will be resolved.

The White House gives the feel of a house that a family cherishes. There is a whole load of things that holiday houses often ignore The showers are enthusiastic the kitchen is well equipped and knives are sharp without it being cluttered the kitchen is very well ordered the chairs are comfy the cooker is easy to work and of high quality the plates and glasses match. The parking for 3 cars just about if small and you are good at maneuvering but street parking was not an issue, loads of room for two cars. The owners are keen at needlework which is fun. The south facing front garden is nice in the sun. The property has not had a back to brick refurb for some time so some of the fitting etc are a little old school but that does not matter because the main things you use are excellent.

Fantastic property, we had everything we could possibly need, comfortable beds, lovely linen and towels and a kitchen full of all equipment we needed. Thank you for supplying plenty dishwasher and washing machine tablets and dish towels usually in short supply in other rentals weve stayed at. One suggestion might be an air fryer! Help saves on electricity. Your property was throughly enjoyed by all the family. Thank you

Lovely house, perfect for family. Appreciated covers for furniture. Every utensil you would need in kitchen, which was appreciated. Excellent for shops, pubs etc. Walk to lake only 10 minutes. Only negative was would have liked a TV in the games room where the log burner was, as we used that quite a lot. But overall excellent.

The house is perfectly located, well maintained, and has everything. We booked for two weeks next Spring which is the most clear endorsement. And, even the weather was perfect for 14 days in a row!

An excellent, well equipped house for eight adults, with lots of extra touches that made our stay even better. A good supply of essentials teatowels, toilet rolls, bin bags, dishwasher tables etc, were really appreciated. Very clean and comfortable and parking for three large cars was an extra bonus, being in the centre of Keswick.

Absolutely beautiful property, well located and views of the hills from the kitchen. Instructions to get to the house and collect keys were clear and simple. So much space for us all and very well equipped, very clean and comfortable. We will definitely try to book this property again when we next come to the Lakes. One minor issue is that you have to be out of the property by 9am and all the beds to be stripped. Personally I'd prefer to either be out by 9am and you leave the beds or strip the beds and be out by 10am. But that might just be because my family aren't early risers

Overall a good stay. The property was very spacious and we were able to utilise seating from the adjacent room when all 8 sitting in the lounge. The property was clean although would massively benefit from modernisation of carpets and decoration to enhance stay as currently very old and dated. The vacuum needs a good clean as it unfortunately smelt awful when switched on. Otherwise great location and size of property and fully equipped for cooking and washing. I did send a message to Sykes yesterday to advise that the towel hoop in the front ensuite fell off when replacing hand towel on the last day. It wasn't broken but did require a screwdriver to allow reattaching which we did not have.

We really liked the White House. It was a lovely property, very well presented and equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, including nice touches like fresh coffee and Earl Grey tea. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all great. The location was also super for the Keswick Convention and getting out and about on the Lakes and fells.
