Aikin Newlands is a character-filled cottage in the upper Newlands Valley near Keswick in the Lake District. Perfect for larger groups of up to 9 people, this spacious property offers uninterrupted views across the valley and surrounding fells. The cottage stands proudly in its own grounds with a large open fire as its centrepiece.

Set in the beautiful Newlands Valley, this property is ideal for walkers. The location gives quick access to some of the best ridge walks in the Lake District. Several outstanding horseshoe walks start right from your doorstep. Gentle valley walks and exciting cycling routes via Newlands Pass with its hairpin bends are also available.

The accommodation centres around a large main room with multiple seating areas. There are four bedrooms upstairs: three doubles (one with a king-size bed on a raised platform) and one triple with three single beds. The cottage has a family bathroom with bath and shower over, plus a small electric shower room and two separate toilets. Musical instruments including a piano, harpsichord and church organ add unique character to Aikin.

Nearby attractions include Derwentwater (15 minutes drive), Keswick town (5 miles, 15 minutes) with shops and restaurants, Buttermere Lake (3 miles, 10 minutes) and Whinlatter Forest Park (5 miles, 15 minutes) for mountain biking and outdoor activities.
