Whilst a beautiful home and decorated and furnished to a high standard a number of things made it difficult. Fridge in main kitchen had to be cleaned. One first floor bathroom out of action until the Wednesday, which meant the day of the wedding some of us needed to go elsewhere to shower. The bed springs in the double bedroom on first floor right side were broken so the bed sank in the middle. There was a continual roof leak in the first floor bedroom at the front of the house requiring us to position bin and bowl as the carpet was getting wet.. We understood about the bathroom as you cannot foresee these things. However the leaking roof seemed to be an established leak and we could have been notified. Obviously it rained heavily throughout our stay and with better weather some things may not have been noticed.

I thoroughly recommend this magnificent property in superb area of Whitehaven. The superb house was immaculately clean and fully equipped. Ideally situated for all our requirements and suitable for all our ages ranging from four years through to mid seventies. Incidentally I did not receive the information concerning the used linen, towels, dishwasher and lights until after I returned home, I would have appreciated receiving these facts before my arrival.
